Leadership C.A.N.O.E.
The leadership C.A.N.O.E. program is about partnering with clients on a thought-provoking paddle and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.

Moving through water requires both presence and intention—mirroring the inner alignment that often precedes meaningful professional growth. In this way, the physical experience becomes a gateway to deeper self-awareness and renewed clarity.

The C.A.N.O.E. cohort program is based on 3 modules plus an optional learning add-on.

Being on water during a coaching session increases the likelihood of raising your awareness and insights, leading to a unique leadership strategy.
Insights emerge from principles such as balance, flow, alignment, integration, synchronicity, and pace.
1. Tandem Canoe

2. Action Plan
Adhering to a client-led learn-by-doing approach, action plans are co-created before, during, and post paddles.
Each action plan is unique and owned by participant/s. Focus is on tactics, goals and strategies to remove barriers and realize impactful goals via increasing client awareness of self, crux relationships, and systems change theory.

3. Praxis Cohort
Experiential process where new knowledge, skills, or behaviors arise from the interactions between learners and their environment.
Group of 5-7 participants, collaboratively share insights from a series of paddles. Learning happens by a process that centers on the creation of goals and action plans.

+ Design
Ongoing strategic counsel and curriculum development to enhance key aspects of high-performing teams, and purpose-driven organizations.

Areas of focus include entrepreneurship, innovation, influence, succession planning, new employee orientation, transformational leadership, leadership for technical and remote teams, problem-solving and operational excellence.
OUR APPROACH
Historically, executive leadership coaching focused on one-on-one sessions where clients would be idle in front of a screen and otherwise inactive.

Firsthand Leadership is founded on the principle that through action stems growth, and that physical inertia translates into mental blockages, and a limited approach to learning and creating change.

By combining professional coaching training principles, with physical activity, and "on-water" insights, clients receive transformative insights anchored with concepts such as balance, flow, alignment, integration, synchronicity, and pace.
"Exploring nature through canoeing can be not only enjoyable and rejuvenating but also a profound reminder of how connected our physical state is with our leadership potential."
